Come check out Samuel Stabler's (my husband!) recent work at the Keeley Gallery on Tuesday August 9th.
Should be fun!

KING & GROVE HOTELS

Trying to plan an end-of-summer weekend to Montauk. Wouldn't mind staying in either of the King & Grove Hotels.

PLACES IX

Obsessing over yet another thing Danish.

While I think the conversion of public spaces into private ones can go wrong pretty quickly, I think this young Danish couple did a beautiful job. Aside from the regular aesthetics that I am normally drawn to- white walls, painted wide planked floorboards, mismatched chairs, clean and modern with interesting vintage touches, cluttered picture walls- I like how they kept some of the original features of the train station that it used to be.

NOMA

One more reason why Copenhagen is on top of my list of places to go.

NICE THINGS

WARBY PARKER

Warby Parker was started by 4 young guys as an alternative to the overpriced, boring eyewear selection that's out there today. The glasses speak for themselves, but to make the story even better, they work with the non-profit restoringvision.org to provide a pair of glasses for someone in need for every pair they sell.

Up until now, the glasses have only been available for purchase via internet, but come August we will be selling them at bird in Williamsburg! So come on by for a fitting! They're awesome (and only $95)!

TUNE IN

Saw him last night in Prospect Park as part of the 'Celebrate Brooklyn' summer concert series. He was great.
